公共專業聯盟將舉辦一個聚焦小組討論會，主題圍繞香港的土地政策與經濟的關係，名為「間接地稅」經濟分析。討論會將由本智庫「土地及多元經濟小組」的財經 政策專家主持，並與大家探討香港人正負擔沉重「間接地稅」的問題及可行對策。
The Professional Commons is going to organize a focus group on HK land policy and economy, titled “Quasi-Land Tax" Economic Analysis. The focus group will be hosted by an expert on Financial Policy, who is also the Convenor of ‘Land Policy and Economic Diversity’ Taskforce of The Professional Commons, to explore the problems and burden induced by “Quasi-Land Tax" and discuss the possible responding strategies.

公 共專業聯盟聯同IT呼聲於上週預算案公佈後，透過網上問卷，訪問資訊科技界人士對預算案資訊科技部分的意見，初步結果顯示，受訪者普遍不滿預算案的資訊科 技措施。
The Professional Commons and IT Voice conducted an online survey on the comments to the IT-related measures of the budget proposal after the launch of the 2009-10 Budget last week. Preliminary findings revealed that most of the IT professionals are not satisfied to the budget proposal. Charles Mok, the vice-chairman of the Professional Commons  would host a press conference to announce the final findings

Professor Ron S.Y. Hui of Department of Electronic Engineering, The City University of Hong Kong,  addressed the fallacy that energy-saving means environmental friendly.

● 發光招牌泛濫 滋擾居民 環團促立法管制光污染

慳電膽換鎢絲燈泡可省電費另外，地球之友及公共專業聯盟，共同促請政府可盡快推動用慳電膽取代鎢絲燈泡的政策，創造逾千職位，更可節能減「費」。公共專業 聯盟主席黎廣德表示，假設本港約220萬個家庭都將5個鎢絲燈泡換成相應光度的慳電膽，3年間內全港可節省30.9億元電費，及減少逾220萬公噸二氧化 碳排放，即每戶每年節省110元至140元電費。

政 府在入門網站引入「我的香港政府一站通」（MyGovHK）個人化功能，也是體現筆者與公共專業聯盟建 議政府設立電子公民戶口的措施。不過，這些與其他新舊資訊科技項目的共通點是，始終 做得太少、太慢。另外，筆者所建議加強發展資訊科技應用的部分政策範圍，例如智能運輸，在預算案中基本上交白卷。

● 薛德敖：千古「流明」的環保契機

政 府應立刻帶頭在新財政年度內，將政府樓宇內2.8萬鎢絲燈泡 全部更換為慳電膽。另一方面，政府應盡快立法禁止銷售鎢絲燈泡 (除了某些需特別照明效果的個案)，並制訂具體落實時間表。
