Launch of Citizens’ Commission on Constitutional Development
Press Conference
“Citizens’ Commission on Constitutional Development” is deeply concerned about where our political system is heading. It cares about achieving genuine democracy for the people of Hong Kong. Citizens’ Commission on Constitutional Development aims to:
- open the door to genuine public involvement in discussion of matters that are vital to the future well-being and stability of our society;
- stimulate the widest possible civic engagement in the process of shaping our future system of government.
The goal is to create a fair and open platform to stimulate constructive discussion on the question of constitutional reform.
CCCD welcomes all people and citizens who are concerned with Hong Kong’s constitutional development to be members. The role of the Steering Group is to assist in identifying the key issues and to facilitate the discussion and consultation process.
Press conference will be hosted on June 17th (next Tuesday), all representatives from the media and related organizations are welcomed.
